The HABC Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (QCF) is aimed at learners aged 19+ and has been designed to prepare trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts. The qualification will meet the needs of a range of teachers and trainee teachers who would like to gain a qualification which focuses on practical teaching. It will be appropriate for those with some experience of teaching and training. This could include individuals who are not currently teaching and training but who can meet the practice requirements outlined in the mandatory and optional units. It is also appropriate for individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a teaching qualification.

• Planning to meet the needs of learners
• Delivering education and training
• Assessing learners in education and training
• Using resources for education and training

Optional units can include:

• Develop and prepare resources for learning and development
• Develop learning and development programmes
• Identify individual learning and development needs

In order to complete this qualification, learners are required to:

• Be a minimum of 19 years of age; and
• There are no formal entry requirements, however, learners have to meet the necessary standards of English, Mathematics and Information Communication Technology skills

Through a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates the learner has met the required assessment criteria. Learners will be expected to apply and show evidence of both theoretical and practical knowledge in their portfolio.

At the end of the programme you will have achieved:
