One in five employers are hiring more apprentices to help through the tough economic climate
Employers are saving on recruitment and conventional employment costs and benefiting from the enthusiasm, commitment and loyalty an apprentice brings.
As a Greater Manchester training provider we obtain Apprenticeship grants to fund training and recruit a high caliber candidate free of charge.
We work hard to negotiate funding on behalf of the employers we work with – aside from the central Government funding for Apprenticeships there are regional initiatives that we can consider too. We fully research this aspect of the programmes and ensure we are completely up-to-date on what is available and the eligibility criteria.

The government currently pays:
- 100% of training costs for apprentices aged 16-18 when they start.
- 50% of training costs for apprentices aged 19-24.
- 0% training costs for apprentices aged 25+ (other funding may be locally available)

24+ Advanced Learning Loans are available for learners aged 24 and above in further education and training studying at Level 3 and above, including Advanced and Higher Apprenticeships.

If your apprentices are over 18 and are registered with the Jobcentre before they commence their training, they are most certainly eligible for free and discounted travel by public transport, or a free reconditioned bike for work.
