An Apprenticeship is a structure programme lasting a minimum of 12 months where you earn while you learn

Apprenticeships offer valuable on the job experience whilst allowing you to study towards a recognised qualification

Unlike with academic courses at university or college, an Apprenticeship allows you to achieve nationally recognised qualifications at your place of work. You will be assigned to a dedicated Trainer Assessor who will visit you to observe your work and give you advice on how to get the most from your Apprenticeship.

Depending on your chosen job sector, you may also need to visit our learning centre one day a week or as part of a block release. Just like a normal employee, you will be paid for both time spent training and time spent ‘on the job’, as well as receiving holiday entitlement from your employer.

There are three levels of Apprenticeship available

j

Intermediate

At this level, you will work towards a Level 2 Qualification (i.e Level 2 in Business Administration) combined with learning Functional Skills, and in most cases, a relevant knowledge-based qualification (Technical Cert).

l

Advanced

At this level, you will work towards a Level 3 Qualification (i.e Level 3 in Business Administration) combined with learning Functional Skills, and in most cases, a relevant knowledge-based qualification (Technical Cert).

k

Higher

At this level, you will work towards a Level 4 Qualification (i.e Level 4 in Business Administration) combined with learning Functional Skills, and in most cases, a relevant knowledge-based qualification such as a Foundation Degree.
